We are interviewing prospective candidates!
The Pastoral Search Committee is pleased to announce that we are interviewing prospective candidates as we move towards completion of the applicant review and screening process. We hope to have this stage of the pastoral search process completed no later than September 7, 2010.
We ask that you keep your pastoral search committee in your daily prayers. Please set aside a few minutes at 9:00 PM every night from now through the end of September to say a prayer for the future of Resurrection MCC and the work being done on your behalf by the Pastoral Search Committee to identify the person whom God is calling to Resurrection MCC as our next Senior Pastor.

The Pastoral Search Committee has begun the applicant review and screening process. This phase of the pastoral search process is scheduled to be completed by August 30, 2010.
Please continue to pray for our patience, discipline, wisdom and discernment to nominate the right person for election to Resurrection MCC Senior Pastor. For those of you who attended our open meeting on May 6, thank you so much for your time, interest, support, and questions! We are pleased to announce that our Senior Pastor Application Portfolio and Invitation to Apply have been sent to a select list of candidates. Applications will only be considered if all requested application materials are received by June 30, 2010.
Without a doubt, the greatest opportunity for Resurrection MCC this year is the process of electing a new Senior Pastor! God is calling someone to us!! However, calling a pastor to Resurrection MCC will only be successful if God works not only in the hearts and lives of the Pastoral Search Committee, but also in the hearts and lives of every Resurrection MCC congregant. Our entire pastoral search process must be immersed in prayers. As such, please pray that God will lead our next Pastor to us and pray for your Pastoral Search Committee. Pray for our patience; pray for our discipline as a committee and as individuals; and, most especially, pray for our wisdom and discernment to nominate the right person for election to Resurrection MCC Senior Pastor.

Town Hall Meeting Announcement
Please join the Pastoral Search Committee on March 14, 2010 at 12:30 pm in the Sanctuary for a town hall meeting where we will discuss the results of our 2010 Pastoral Search Congregational Survey. On January 26, the survey was sent to over 2,800 members and friends of Resurrection MCC. The survey closed at midnight on February 21. Over 400 respondents completed the survey, resulting in a response rate of nearly 15%. Of the 400+ respondents, over half are members of the church, which is a significant return for our church membership!
Copies of the Pastoral Search Committee’s 2010 Congregational Survey Report will be available at all entrances to the Sanctuary on the morning of March 14. So, again, please join us at 12:30 pm in the Sanctuary on March 14 where we will discuss the contents of this report. If you are unable to attend the town hall meeting, you may e-mail your questions to PastoralSearchCommittee@ResurrectionMCC.org. As always, we welcome any and all feedback that you may have.

Your thoughts are very important to the pastoral search process and we sincerely want to hear from each of you. We also hope that you'll join the Pastoral Search Committee on Sunday, March 14, at 12:30 pm, for a Town Hall meeting when we'll share a summary of the survey results. Congregational Survey
Greetings Church Family!
The Resurrection MCC Pastoral Search Committee needs your help. We want to find out what you desire in a new Senior Pastor, and your thoughts and feelings about our church. We are asking all members and friends of Resurrection MCC to complete a 10-15 minute anonymous survey. Please do not skip a question. It will be most helpful to us if you answer all the questions. If a question seems unclear to you, we would appreciate if you would do your best to answer it.
In order for us to tabulate the results in a timely manner, we ask that you complete the survey now. If you desire more time to complete the survey, please complete it no later than Sunday, February 21, 2010. It is important that we hear from every member of our congregation, so we thank you in advance for your time and cooperation in completing this survey. We will share a summary of the results with you at our next Town Hall Meeting to be held on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at 12:30 pm in the Sanctuary.

As we continue to prepare ourselves for the changes and transitions in the coming months at Resurrection MCC, the Pastoral Search Committee is dedicated to keeping our members and friends informed through various means of communication including our Web site.
With the blessings and direction of our elders, the Pastoral Search Committee has been determined and is already meeting weekly. The committee is made up of five board members: Karla Johnson, Debbie Skelly (Co-Chair), Elisa Vega-Burns (Chair), Mary Wagner, Wayne Wiggins (Clerk) and and one executive team member: Mark Eggleston. The Pastoral Search Committee invites you to direct questions and suggestions to our email address: PastoralSearchCommittee@ResurrectionMCC.org.
During this time of transition and opportunity, we ask for your continued support of the ministries at Resurrection MCC. Your faithful attendance, consistent giving and prayers will be crucial to the church. God has great plans for our church and God is protecting us as with go through this time. Together we can make 2010 a year to remember, a year of bringing God’s people to a place of healing and grace.
