Missions
Regional MCC
Networking &
Support Partners
Resurrection is currently the largest
church in the MCC Fellowship and as such
has a responsibility to mentor and support
other MCC churches as needed, as well as
continuing to be a responsible member of
the Fellowship. This team will work closely
with the Lay Delegates to ensure Resurrection
meets these responsibilities.
Community Networking
Targeted Outreach
This ministry team is responsible for promoting
the presence and involvement of
Resurrection MCC at church-wide and
community events. These include festivals,
expos and annual celebrations.
Resurrection MCC is invited to participate
in many community functions throughout
the calendar year. Participation in these
events has many positive outcomes:
-
It serves as an outreach to those in the
community who might be looking for a
church home.
-
It provides the church publicity to reach
those who might not have heard of
Resurrection.
-
It helps our chances of becoming
beneficiaries of charitable events in the
larger community in which we serve.
-
It offers friends and members of
Resurrection a chance to participate
in activities in the larger community.
-
It allows those in the community a
chance to see and interact with
Resurrection’s members and friends in
a positive manner.
Help us in plan and staff these
scheduled events:
- Freedom to Marry Week (Anually, during the week surrounding Valentine's Day)
- AIDS Walk Houston (Annually the Second Sunday in March)
- Resurrection MCC’s Anniversary (Each year during April)
- ADL Holocaust Remembrance
Service (Annual Spring Event)
- Houston Pride Parade (Annually at the End of June)
- Houston Women’s Festival (Each year in October)
- Houston Black Tie Dinner (Annually in November)
- Region 6 Cluster Meetings (Bi-Annually)
