A SIMPLE PLAN: YOU AND A FRIEND

The stewardship and finance ministry is charged with many tasks; among them fund raising. We continue to grapple with ways to raise money outside of our church community.

One way that we as friends and members can contribute to the general fund at Resurrection is through the use of grocery shopping share cards. Many of you already use a Kroger Share Card or have your Randalls Card link to the church.

In case you are not aware of these programs, both grocery chains will allow you to contribute a percentage of purchases back to an organization. A Kroger Share Card can be scanned each time you shop at Kroger, and Randalls has a similar program by linking your Randalls card to #2258.

Many of us have used our Share Card at Kroger for several years, but it was recently that one of our ministry members decided to ask friends to use a RMCC Share Card when they shopped. There are now four additional families using a Share Card that sends money back to our church. And it is not costing us anything to do this. If you shop at Kroger’s or Randall’s, please use this service and consider asking others you know to do so as well.

If you do not have a Share Card, get one for yourself and be sure to pick up another for a friend and ask that person to join all of us in raising some “easy” money for the church.
