Mission Statement
God calls Resurrection Metropolitan Community Church to demonstrate
God’s unconditional love to all people through Christian action.
Our Vision
Resurrection envisions a Christian Community that values
diversity and is as diverse and all encompassing as creation. Through
salvation, service, study and tithing, each member and friend will
live and grow in faith and be spiritually fed.
As a congregation, we must reach out to our community and those
in need; And, we must help meet those needs as God directs.
Through courage and commitment, our congregation will support present
and future ministries and continued growth.
Through Christian service, Resurrection MCC will be a model for
our community by providing a supportive church home where everyone
will feel accepted and loved.
Our Values
To mirror God’s unconditional love to ourselves
and others, we believe that God is present in our values, thus we
hold them Sacred.
We value the sacredness of the worship experience, thus we will
respect each other’s needs.
We value the sacredness of each individual, thus we will respect
each other.
We value the sacredness of God’s presence in every aspect
of our lives, thus we will grow in wholeness while respecting and
embracing our own individuality.
We value the sacredness of the faith community that God has called
us to be, thus we will purposefully work to create and nurture relationships.
We value the sacredness and celebrate the many and varied gifts
that come together to create the common ground that is Resurrection.
Our Beliefs
We believe in God’s unconditional love for
everyone.
We believe in the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the empowering
presence of the Holy Spirit.
We believe in including everyone and excluding no one.
We believe in joyfully providing access to Christ-centered spiritual
nourishment and Biblical truths.
We believe that each of us will discover our spirituality through
active participation in the work of God, in the pursuit of health,
wholeness and justice for everyone.
